You cannot shoot a club night the way you shoot a band. There is no chorus to anticipate and the light changes eight times a second, so I work slow - a third of a second, dragged, panning with whatever is moving - and accept that four frames in five are bin.

The promoter uses this set for the whole season's artwork, so it is edited warm and grainy on purpose. Fifty-eight frames delivered on the Sunday afternoon, which is as early as anyone involved wanted to look at them.
