Hello, I am Ravi. I read every message myself, and I answer all of them - even the ones that turn out to be for a date I cannot make.

The most useful first message has four things in it: the date, the venue, who or what is on, and what your press office needs by the morning. If you have a running order, send it. If you have nothing but a date and a hunch, send that instead and I will ask the rest.

If it is an archive request rather than a booking, give me the act and roughly when, and a contact sheet with licence terms comes back the same day.

Emails are answered inside a day. On the day of a show I am in a room with no signal from six until eleven, so call before or after.
Dates are held for seven days on a handshake and confirmed with a one-page agreement. No deposit for a single night.
Licensing an existing frame is quicker than booking one. Give me the act and the month and you will have a contact sheet the same day.
